E-Learning is the delivery of a learning, training or education program by electronic means. It offers companies greater flexibility when it comes to product demonstrations, staff training, or safety briefings. Information can be relayed via computer, CD-ROM, DVD, or electronic device such as a PDA or mobile phone. And it is highly cost effective, reducing the need for organized training sessions, and creating programs that are engaging as well as informative.
E-Learning's development has been assisted through the demand for long distance learning, as it overcomes timing, attendance and travel problems.
